Dear Friends and Millers of the MidEast and Africa
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure and privilege to introduce the 21st Annual International Association of Operative Millers MidEast and Africa District Conference and Expo which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa on 22 - 25 November 2010. This Conference and Expo will give you the opportunity to expose yourself not only to the latest in milling technology and support services, but also to strengthen your relationship with old friends and to make new ones.
The leaders in the milling industry need to equip themselves for future challenges in feeding the nations of the earth.
Cape Town is located on the Southern tip of Africa, in the shade of Table Mountain and surrounded by beaches. The wine lands touring routes are within an hours drive from Cape Town. Our game parks in the North are world famous for you to experience the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino) in the wild.
The rainbow nation of South Africa looks forward to welcoming you and your spouse/partner to explore Africa from the most sophisticated attractions to the inner beauty of the African Bush.
Yours sincerely

South Africa Call
For the first time in the history of the Mideast & Africa District, the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) will hold its annual meeting in South Africa. As IAOM President it is my pleasure to invite you to this historic event – the 21st Annual IAOM Mideast & Africa District Conference and Trade Show on November 22-25, in the spectacular city of Cape Town.
The IAOM MEA District Conference and Trade Show has evolved into one of the premier milling industry events. Last year in Turkey, the Leadership Council decided to expand the breadth of educational offerings on the conference program to include management topics. I am confident that this initiative will further enhance the experience for conference attendees. The annual international conference features presentations on facility and employee management, two topics that have become critical to improving operations at milling facilities around the world.
We are in for three full days of informative educational sessions, useful and instructive hands-on demonstrations on the trade show floor, and the opportunity to network with milling colleagues from over 50 countries.
Working together with the South Africa Milling Chamber, the MEA District organizers have developed a remarkable event that affords milling professionals throughout the region the opportunity to network with colleagues, share expertise, and develop leadership skills. I encourage all to take advantage of this unique chance to access a whole worldwide network of people with whom we can all share our insights, experiences and passion for milling.
Don’t miss out on the Mideast & Africa District Conference – enhance your skills and advance your career by joining us in Cape Town.
