Joined the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in 1967,  working in the UK, until invited to continue working in the same technical field, in Mali for a 2-year secondment for the UK Foreign Office.   Lived & worked in Mali 1979 - 1981 on essential grain storage. Then in Ghana 1986 to assist GFDC [Ghana Food Distribution Corporation]  in fumigation training of storekeepers. Syria, Jordan, West Bank & Gaza Strip. Formed Acheta Partnership in 1995 with Adrian Meyer. Acheta sold it in 2013.
